![]() “Big Weenie” is the diss track to Benzino (Look him up, he was a rapper haha). Simpson here….crazy right? It’s not very good. It’s funny, but I feel like Eminem has nothing important to say on it. “My 1st Single” is basically a failed 1st single song. I love at the end, he says, “Fuccn Bitch” lol. The lyricism is kinda bad…it’s almost like he wasn’t sure what to say cause he was so mad, hahaha. I love the beat, actually sounds like the “Till I Collapse” beat a little bit. ![]() It’s obviously about an ex-lover aka Kim. “Puke” is, as my high school friend put it, the “Whitest song on the album,” lol. “Mosh” is another one of my favorite Em tracks…so far good album, right? Yup! On this song Em takes jabs at then President George H.W. It’s about Em’s beef with Benzino and Ja Rule and how 50 Cent dragged him in to the latter beef. “Like Toy Soldiers” is another heartfelt track. In fact, he even references the “old foolish pride girl” here. Em raps about being white and admiring black culture and his relationship with a black woman, who I’m assuming was named Kim (not his ex-wife). And unlike other songs he’s done, this one is pretty much 100% truth. “Yellow Brick Road” is easily one of Em’s most introspective songs, period. I really like the song, but wish it was longer. Interesting right? “Never Enough” features an excellent Nate Dogg hook and 50 Cent. Em equates heavenly father to his father who he never got the chance to know. The album starts with “Evil Deeds,” an up tempo oddball of a song…I really like the chorus, however. Encore is known as being Em’s worst album.and, in my opinion, that is true. Look I agree with u to a certain extent about the nas thing, how he could be putting out stuff like KD3 but the whole point was to say I think that he may be getting a little bit too much hate.Okay, so this is an in depth review of Em’s fourth album, Encore…sadly I have a bootlegged copy with no skits, so I won’t talk about those. The whole song is practically a double entendre. I thought the whole subject matter of talking about the Las Vegas shooting whilst relating the story to his career as of lately, is remarkable. Now u said he could make incredible storytelling tracks. Unaccomadating, Godzilla, no regrets are all pretty good if not solid tracks. You gon learn with Royce was a banger and I thought black thought absolutely killed his verse on Yah Yah. Either than maybe stepdad and I guess u can say those kinda nights, what songs were bad or “cringe” like everyone likes to say. Again as I said, I don’t think side B should be taken that seriously but let’s look at side a. That song has a ton of bars, sure it doesn’t sound the best sonically, but for someone who can appreciate the wordplay and the syllables and double entendres, it is a good song. U mentioned Alfred’s theme, which is a song that seems to get a lot of recognition from side B, both good and bad. I listen to everything from Frank Zappa, to Playboi Carti, to Charles Mingus, to George Clinton, to the weeknd, and all that is because Eminem opened me up to hip hop all the way back in 7th grade. I apologize for the rant, but I just used to be an Eminem STAN in middle school, and still have a lot of nostalgia and fondness for his early work, (even if the subject matter doesn't appeal to me much anymore) hell Eminem is the reason I went from being a stuck up metal head in late elementary early middle to now being a senior in HS and having a large and eclectic music taste, and I listen to just about every genre. I mean even with bullshit fuck around albums he is still selling better than most rappers today, so imagine if he released something quality again. He would be looked at like Nas is now in the hip hop world, but with all the commercial success of someone like Drake. He could be doing a serious story telling album about whatever the fuck he wanted with some Dre production (or maybe even get a little wacky and see what madlib or the alchemist's take on his sound would be) and EVERYONE would eat that shit up. Eminem has the talent to make AMAZING shit. It may not be super common, but it's very possible. ![]() Sure most great music comes from young people, but look at artists like frank Zappa, and David Bowie who both released fantastic albums all throughout their careers and up until their deaths, hell even Ringo Starr is still doing some good shit nowadays. Music is not a young mans game by any means. He is a good producer and a fantastic rapper, yet we still somehow get bullshit like Alfred's theme being released on official studio albums. He clearly doesn't care anymore because he is half assing his music worse than fucking nav is, because the difference is Nav is ass because he has not talent. ![]() His lyricism is kinda fun when I'm in a goofy mood, but is unbearably corny most of the time. ![]()
